Beauty of Chemistry
Do science classes seem boring, with little demonstration of what all those big sentences mean? What if you could actually see chemistry, the science of changing substances, with your own eyes? Curie Club, the Chemistry Club of IISER Mohali, presents an experimental demonstration titled "EXPERIMENTS WITHOUT EXPLOSIONS (!)", where we explain why colourful magic is not something that can never be explained.
The science in computers and the computers in science
The flower you see has been generated using a few mathematical equation. Want to see how equations can generate more such beautiful art? Or are you interested in seeing computers generate music on their own or simulate the flight of birds? Do you want to figure out how these devices can recognize your face or how the camera app in your phone can sharpen and blur images with just the touch of a button? Join us on the foundation day where we will take you on a journey into the exciting world of computers.
BotsBlitz: A Robo Carnival
A world of robotics where innovation, excitement, and engagement collide. Join us on foundation day to unveil cutting-edge technologies, from smartphone-controlled robots to flying jellyfish, and step into the future along with us.
Unravelling the mysteries of the Skies
"Astronomy compels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another." Have you looked upwards and wondered about the many wonders that the night sky holds?. What exactly goes on between those twinkling stars, or even in those stars themselves? Join us this Foundation Day to experience a multitude of demonstrations that will lead you to unravel the deep, dark and bright mysteries of the sky.
The joy of recreational mathematics
Join us on a trip to explore mathematics through…. games!! Unable to contain your curiosities about the infinite? Want to devise the most effective strategy to win a strategic game? We have you covered! Join us this foundation day and experience the magic of shapes and numbers firsthand!
A Dive into Biology
You are unique in ways you have never thought of! How does a spherical transparent ball of cells develop into beautiful striped zebrafish? On this foundation day, we will unveil the Secrets of Life in front of you and answer these and many other questions through interactive experiments. Step into the shoes of a budding biologist and get a chance to be introduced to some fascinating critters under our microscopes. Prepare to be amazed by the wonders of the natural world!
Magic? Physics!
"Step into the fantastic world of physics on Foundation Day! Watch in awe as we unfurl the mysterious properties of light , create mesmerizing light shows with plasma globe, and unleash invisibility cloaks made from everyday materials! Embark on a journey of discovery and wonder of the magic of the universe right before your eyes!"
Aria
Does music and science seem like the opposites? Join us for to learn where the fascinating world of physics, theory and computers converge with music. Discover how musical instruments harness the laws of physics to create beautiful sounds. As you understand the science of instruments, understand the basics of how instruments are arranged to create the music we love and live to. And how computers help in analysing music and make them even better.
Curiosity Unleashed
Science, like decoding chess without knowing its rules, relies on our innate curiosity. We observe, reason, and seek answers by questioning our world. Join us on Foundation Day where we will demonstrate interesting experiments to explain everyday phenomena!
Rang Club
Come join us in celebrating this Japanese artistry that breathes life into paper, crafting delicate wonders through meticulous folds and creases!!
iGEM Team
We will be introducing Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology with the aim of increasing awareness. Along with that we will be showing fluorescent bacteria and explain the mechanism behind it. We will connect these dots to our project PathoGlow and with hope to generate interest in development and deployment of new novel detection kits If time permits, a simple microscope construction and working will also be explained
Darpan Club
A nukkad natak (street play) about breaking myths and misconceptions: blurring the boundary of what might seem like magic and showing the science within. A small venture to raise awareness among the young.
